The Home Crafter
  'Creating Homes With Character'

The goal of this bathroom remodel was to create a modern interpretation of a traditional 1920's bathroom.   The client wanted to integrate a very modern bathroom in his 1923 row house that still has very traditional aspects to it.

The modern materials were installed in a traditional pattern.  The wall tiles were installed as wainscoting.  The operable four-light sky light was kept in tact but the traditional clear glass was replaced with etched glass.  The floor tiles are made of glass that is specifically manufacture for use on floors.

The shower controls and tub spout were moved to the back wall of the shower stall.  This allows easy access to the controls without having to reach around the shower panel to reach controls in the traditional location.   The tub spout was set to one side of the back wall so that the tub can still be enjoyed as a soaking tub.  This is more easily viewed in "after" shot 2.
