This client enjoys cooking so it was very important to him to create a kitchen with a lot of counter top prep area. Given that the kitchen had a small footprint, this goal called for a compromise. The solution was to install a drawer-style refrigerator and freezer. This provided extra counter space that would typically be occupied by a standard sized refrigerator.
The drawer-style fridge and freezer still provide more than enough food storage for the client. An additional full-sized refrigerator / freezer is kept close by in the basement for extra storage.
