This dining room was part of a project that consisted of: - installing central air conditioning
- replacing the damaged plaster ceilings with fresh drywall,
- installing a pre-finished floor
- creating wainscoting-style trim with a plate rail
- removing and rebuilding the wall between the kitchen and dining room to allow for the creation of the transom above the breakfast bar and twelve-inch deep shelves in the kitchen
- painting the interior
These modifications were all done with the intention of modernizing how the kitchen and dining room are able to be used while enhancing the Arts and Crafts character of the home.
